Start with the building

Before you choose a heater, ask the right questions.

An efficient system is not chosen from a product list. It starts with understanding how your building is used, where heat is being lost and what the people or processes inside it actually need.

  • Building size and roof height
  • Doors and working patterns
  • Areas needing separate control
  • Insulation and heat loss
  • Existing equipment and fuel
  • Hot-water demand

What do you need help with?

Plan a new system, replace ageing equipment or keep an existing installation working safely and reliably.

From first survey to ongoing support

Site surveys and design

Understand the building, heat demand and practical options before choosing equipment.

Commercial installation

Heating systems planned around the layout, access and operation of your premises.

Warm-air and radiant heating

Whole-building warmth or targeted heat for specific people, work areas and processes.

Commercial hot water

Reliable hot-water and boiler systems designed around real demand and usage patterns.

Replacement and upgrades

Assess what can be retained and replace what is inefficient, unreliable or beyond repair.

Servicing and maintenance

Identify problems early and keep commercial heating equipment performing as it should.

What are you heating?

Different premises create different problems. Choose the building type closest to yours.

  Your building, your priorities

Warehouses

High ceilings, loading doors, racking and cold spots.

Factories

Staff comfort, production zones, extraction and processes.

Workshops & garages

Changing work zones, vehicle access and frequent heat loss.

Retail & showrooms

Quiet, discreet heating for customer-facing environments.

Sports & leisure

Large spaces with varied occupancy and operating times.

Hotels & holiday parks

Reliable hot water for showers, accommodation and guests.

The system should fit the building, not the other way around.

There is no single heating system that is best for every commercial space. The right answer depends on what needs heating and how conditions change through the day.

 Examples of the options

Warm-air heating

A practical way to distribute heat through warehouses, factories, workshops and showrooms. Positioning, air movement and controls matter just as much as the heater itself.

Radiant and targeted heating

Direct heat towards people, surfaces or work zones instead of relying solely on warming the entire volume of air. Useful for high buildings and frequently opened doors.

Commercial hot water

Size the system around actual demand. Winrow can assess usage patterns and design a reliable solution without unnecessary stored volume or avoidable energy use.

You do not need to know which heater you need. That is our job.

You know your building and the problem it is causing. Winrow turns that information into a practical heating plan.

A clear route from question to installation

Tell us about the building

Share the premises type, location, approximate size and what you want to improve.

STEP 01

We assess the site

We consider construction, usage, existing services, access and sources of heat loss.

STEP 02

We design the solution

You receive a recommendation based on the building, not simply the first available heater.

STEP 03

We install and support it

You receive a recommendation based on the building, not simply the first available heater.

STEP 04

Three buildings. Three different answers.

The work matters more than the sales pitch. These projects show how different requirements led to different systems.

Good advice first. The right system second.

You are not coming to Winrow simply to buy a heater from a catalogue. You are coming for help understanding what the building needs, how the options differ and what installation will involve.

Questions customers ask before a heating project.

Open a question to see the answer.

 Straight answers

  • What is the best heating system for my building?

That depends on the size, height, construction and use of the building, along with heat-loss points, available fuel and the areas that need heating. A survey lets Winrow assess those factors before recommending a system.

  • Do I need a site survey?

For most substantial commercial projects, a survey is the clearest way to understand the building and prepare a meaningful design and quotation.

  • Can you replace an existing commercial heating system?

Yes. Winrow can assess ageing, failed or inefficient equipment and consider what can be retained before recommending replacement or upgrade options.

  • How much does a commercial heating system cost?

There is no reliable standard price. Cost depends on system type, building size, fuel, controls, access and installation work. A site assessment provides the information needed for a meaningful quotation.

  • Which areas does Winrow cover?

Winrow is based in Runcorn and works across Cheshire, Merseyside, Greater Manchester, the North West, North Wales, Cumbria, West Yorkshire, Staffordshire and the Midlands, with specialist work elsewhere in the UK.
