Warm-air heating

A commercial warm-air heating system can be a practical way to distribute heat across warehouses, factories, workshops, showrooms and other large spaces.


The layout, mounting position, air movement and controls all need to be considered if the system is going to heat the occupied areas effectively.

Radiant and targeted heating

Radiant tube heaters direct heat towards people, surfaces or working areas rather than relying solely on warming the entire volume of air.


They can be useful for targeted zones, high buildings and premises where doors open frequently.

Commercial hot water

A commercial water-heating system should be sized around real demand rather than guesswork.

Controls, zoning and heat recovery

Heating the whole building to one temperature is not always the best approach.



Appropriate controls, separate zones and de-stratification can help direct heat towards the areas that need it and recover warm air that would otherwise remain at roof level.

  • Do I need a site survey?

    For most substantial commercial and industrial projects, a survey is the best way to understand the building and prepare an appropriate design and quotation.


    For an initial conversation, provide the building type, location, approximate dimensions and details of any existing heating.

  • Can you replace an existing commercial heating system?

    Yes. Winrow can assess an ageing, failed or inefficient installation and recommend appropriate replacement or upgrade options.


    Where practical, the assessment will consider whether any existing services, controls or equipment can be retained.

  • Can you install heating in a new commercial building?

    Yes. Winrow can become involved at the design stage and help plan the system around the building’s layout, intended use and available services.

    There is no reliable standard price because commercial buildings and heating requirements vary considerably.


    The cost depends on factors including system type, building size, heat demand, fuel, controls, access and the amount of installation work required. A survey allows Winrow to prepare a more meaningful quotation.
